  Charity of the year 2007-2008

 Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park is delighted to announce The British Heart Foundation (BHF) as their chosen charity of 2007/2008 and is looking forward to support the BHF's work over the next 12 months.

The BHF is the nation’s heart charity, raising funds for pioneering research that saves and improves the lives of vulnerable men, women and children whose hearts are in crisis. Research breakthroughs keep thousands of hearts beating today. Clotbusting drugs, new pacemakers and replacement heart valves would not have been developed so quickly without the BHF.

It’s a sad fact that every two minutes someone has a heart attack – half of these people die and that’s why the BHF funds more heart research than any other UK charity, spending £95 every minute of every day. The BHF also helps 2.7 million survivors to live better lives, free from the constant dread of heart failure. By working together the BHF and the retail staff, and customers of Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park can help to keep hearts beating and help to relieve the suffering of those living with heart disease in Bolton. You really can make a difference!
